For real life: the Hoskinsons are going as the Heelers this year. Daddy is Bandit, Mom is Chilli, Vera is Bingo, and Vivian — smallest Heeler, biggest job — is Bluey. If a pack of cartoon dogs comes up your walk tomorrow night, that's us. Woof.

The real forecast for tomorrow night — and it's a good one for trick-or-treating: overcast and mild, no rain expected, light wind. Warm enough that the Heeler costumes won't need coats over the top. Checked Friday, October 30.
